Connect your Facebook/Meta account

Connecting Facebook lets Cloutly collect your Page reviews and post your replies back to them, alongside every other review site you have connected.

Connecting a Page

Go to Integrations in the sidebar. Choose the location you are connecting at the top left, then find Facebook in the list of review sites.

Click the Facebook card to start.

The Facebook card on the Integrations page

A Facebook window opens and asks you to log in and grant permission. Three things matter on that screen:

  1. Log in as the person who has a role on the Page. Facebook only offers Pages that your account can administer.
  2. Tick the Pages you want to connect. This is the step people miss. Facebook does not share every Page by default, and a Page you do not tick is a Page Cloutly never sees.
  3. Leave the requested permissions on. Turning them off will let the connection complete but leave it unable to read reviews or post replies.

When you come back, pick the Page for this location and you are done. Reviews begin arriving shortly afterwards, and from then on they land in your Inbox like any other review site.

If no Pages appear

The usual cause is that your Page is administered through a Meta Business Manager portfolio rather than by your personal Facebook account directly. A standard Facebook login has no visibility of those Pages, so the list comes back empty through no fault of yours.

Cloutly detects this. When the normal connection finds no Pages, you are offered a second route:

Your Page looks like it's managed in Meta Business Manager. Connect it that way instead.

Click Connect via Business Manager and Cloutly asks Facebook for access in a different way — one built for Pages held in a business portfolio. For most people whose first attempt came back empty, this is the whole fix.

You no longer need to restructure your Meta Business Portfolio, add yourself to Pages by hand, or work through Business Suite settings before connecting. If the second route also comes back empty, then the Page genuinely is not visible to the account you logged in with, and the thing to check is whether that account has a role on the Page at all.

Messages you might see

If something goes wrong, Cloutly tells you which thing went wrong rather than failing silently:

  • "No Pages were shared. Please reconnect and include at least one Page." — you completed the Facebook flow without ticking any Page. Start again and tick one.
  • "Facebook didn't give us access to that Page." — the Page was selected but Facebook withheld permission for it. Reconnect and make sure the permissions stay enabled.
  • "We couldn't load your Facebook Pages. Please try again." — Cloutly could not reach Facebook. Usually temporary.
  • "We couldn't complete the connection. Please try connecting again." — the connection started but did not finish. Try once more.

All four are worth retrying once before assuming something is broken.

If you have worked through both routes and still cannot see your Page, get in touch and tell us which of the messages above you saw — that narrows it down immediately.
